Publications Research at Xanfeon is focused on the development of advanced systems, technologies and methods for designing and developing low-carbon businesses and industries. Examples of recent publications and reports include: Carbon-Guided Cost Reduction Principles of carbon-guided cost reduction (CGCR) are illustrated to show the importance of engineering the enterprise to be in tune with requirements both for carbon reduction and cost reduction. This is shown to be important in guiding the enterprise into the early stages of the low carbon economy. Eco-Industrial Landscape An analysis is provided of transformation pathways into the new economy. New frontiers in the development of organisations and critical infrastructures are explored and these are used to identify key features and dynamics of the emerging eco-industrial landscape. Business Transformation and Carbon Metrics An overview is provided of the role of carbon and business performance metrics in guiding business transformation into low carbon markets. Carbon footprinting is used for developing sustainability within the supply chain and evaluating go-to-market scenarios for goods and services. Reengineering the Supply Chain for Green Business Many businesses are finding that their supply chains are becoming vulnerable as economic conditions become more challenging. This can be an opportunity to reevaluate the supply chain and identify ways that it can be reengineered to help the business move into the green economy.
